When Thots Collaborate Things Get Done.

Recently I used Thot Of This in a very interesting way. I wanted to share this with you because I found it to be helpful (and not just b/c I am a little biased!). I was filling out an online form a few days back. I couldn't complete the form in go because I needed a few more pieces of information from my husband. I shared a thot with him asking him a few questions and when he got a chance, he replied. When I finally got around to completing the form I had everything I needed right on that URL. The form server had of course kept my incomplete form, Thot Of This provided me the additional pieces from my husband and all I had to do was complete and submit. Next time you have to work on an online form with someone, Thot it out. You don't have to worry about finding or emailing that person to get info (which btw if you download your email from the server or its protected --- you run into the same "Which computer was it on" syndrome); its all there.

Today I checked my email ... and to my chagrin, there are forwards ... and ya, I like the occassional fwd ... but have you noticed, now the fwds appear with no preamble from the 'fwder' ... no quick " Hey this is funny .. or hey read this, it might make your commute easier" .. ya, in a few threads someone may have been nice enough to say why it was fwded to the group but who is going to read that far down ? And now we have facebook ... people can "post to their wall" ... youtube videos, music, urls ... again, many times there is no explanation as to why ... graffiti ... With Thot Of This ... Its not just about graffiti any more ... Use Thot Of This when you want to go beyond a simple, quick spurt on a wall or a quick forward. Share a Thot, start a dialog!

It worked like a charm.  I added my modifications to the online recipe as a thot to be forever captured on the social web. With that our research project was christened.  Feeling the need to be able to capture our own sparks as we consumed the internet, we incubated Thot Of This. We just crossed the t's and dotted the i's to move to the other side--we're no longer a research project, we're not in stealth mode, we're not sending out invites ... we're here.  Let's take it somewhere !  Got an idea, want to change something, want to send directions ?  Add a thot, we do and hope you will.
